It’s actually considerably harder to do the 3D/4D ultrasound once your baby starts to descend. Are you expecting twins or more? Then it’s best to have this ultrasound done around the 15th week. Your baby will then have plenty of subcutaneous fat, so you can get a good look at the little cheeks. The best period for a 3D/4D ultrasound is between the 24th and 30th week. We will spend approximately 30 minutes looking at your baby with our ultrasound equipment and try to get the best possible images of the baby. You can therefore certainly bring your nearest and dearest along to share the experience. This non-medical ultrasound is meant to be a very special experience. It has happened that we could spot tiny facial expressions during the 3D/4D ultrasound: a smile, pouting, looking cross, yawning and thumb sucking. With a bit of luck, the baby will do a nice little pose of us and you’ll be able to see the entire face. You’ll be able to see your baby with ‘volume’ during this non-medical ultrasound and will pay specific attention to her face. You can truly enjoy everything that’s going on inside your bump in a very relaxed atmosphere.
